Featured Customer: Freddie Bigg
On Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, Freddie Bigg joined the Number 1 global cannabis podcast, First Smoke of the Day, where they unravel untold cannabis history. The cannabis and culture podcast showcases the insights and lives of extractors, playmakers, growers, brands, and underground culture in the global cannabis industry. A TMPC customer, Freddie displays SF Canna and Planta packaging manufactured by The Modern Packaging Company.
Freddie Bigg grew up in the Bay Area, where he started wrestling at a young age. After winning a high school state championship, Freddie took some time away from the sport to pursue his passion for cannabis. He worked on farms and indoor cultivations as a trimmer while hustling packs on the side. After reconnecting with wrestling friends from the past, Freddie reengaged with the sport, and even took a few professional fights. But the opportunity to build a career in cannabis lured him back to the burgeoning industry.
Freddie soon developed a reputation for having the dopest weed. Looking at Freddie's history, it's no surprise FSOTD co-host, Packgod, describes him as an "undercover legend in the game." He exploded into the cannabis industry scene from nowhere and what began as a side hustle and love for the culture turned into a full-time booming career. Freddie co-founded brands that include SF Canna, Planta, and Tattoo Lovers Care.
Together with his team at the San Francisco-based brand, SF Canna, they've gained popularity and momentum in the cannabis industry for the past two decades. The team's dedication and drive for producing quality and exotic cannabis to share with the world remains unmatched.
Freddie summed up his approach to marketing, saying, "Why spend on ads or on hiring a model to be sexy…when we can give away a pound of joints and everybody can taste the flavors and see what it is?" This process has helped him build integrity and credibility for his brands.
